fly on your own time, at your own pace
experience the benefits of a true flight club
how it works.
-
why a FLIGHT CLUB?
Flying doesn’t have to be expensive or lonely. In a flight club, you get access to well-maintained airplanes for a fraction of the cost of owning one, plus a community of pilots who actually want to go places. You’ll have support, mentorship, and friends who push you to grow and try new ratings. More adventures, more confidence, more flying. Join the club — because airplanes are better when they’re shared.
-
hourly RATES
Our club airplanes are available to our members at what is called a “Wet Rate.” A wet rate includes oil, fuel, and other variable costs per hour. Unlike a “Dry Rate,” where only the base rate is advertised, our wet rates include the entire hourly cost so you can accurately budget for your flights.
-
How does scheduling work?
Members get access to our online scheduler to book their training or trips whenever they want. No phone tag, no paper calendars — just pick your plane and go. You’ll see who’s flying what and when, so everyone stays in the pattern. And if your plans change? Easy… just taxi back to the portal and update it.

Do i need renter's insurance?
At BAAC, we do not require renters or “non-owned” insurance. This truly sets us apart from other organizations and our club leadership works very hard to maintain coverage that is very pro-member. After joining, you will have access to our current insurance policy documents and each member should take the time to read and understand what the insurance does and does not cover.
about our club
The Bay Area Aero Club (BAAC) is a non-profit flying club established in 1979 currently based at the Pearland Regional Airport (KLVJ). Our membership is diverse and includes students working on obtaining a private license, private and commercial pilots, pilots with instrument, CFI and CFII instructors, and airline transport pilots.
The Club’s fleet varies from time to time, but we try to maintain a mix that includes primary trainers, instrument trainers, complex aircraft, and single-engine cross-country aircraft. Our aircraft are available for local and extended overnight trips.
